Final Major Project
What:
A Zine (or two). Will have to look into what printing is available from printing companies (and how expensive it will be) before decided if I want it hand printed and bound, or done by a professional company. My Zine will be of the theme of flight (I have a huge list of possible expanded ideas - i.e. space, birds only, human attempts at flight, kites etc.).

How:
To decide on the medium to use, I will explore combining different materials (Research Project). I will take a look at artists' zines online, and by going to the Birmingham Zine Festival in October this year.

Research Project
Objective(s): as yet, unknown.

Experiments:
I want to try combining different materials - mixed media - a less predictable way of working. To loosen up. Collage, line, pattern, colour, stencilling etc. Slightly more craft/fine arty. I will look at mixed media/book artists. Try their techniques. Tweak it to make it my own. Look at art journal-ling in particular.

As prep. for my zine I will look at using text/no words. Using hand lettering/digital. I will look at using only black and white, and colour (opposites). I will experiment with different zine formats (size, dimensions, flaps, cutouts, etc.). I will try multiple layouts of each page etc.
